Not General Motors. The autosphere is abuzzed with news of an updated, 30-mpg, 2011 Chevrolet Camaro.News of the fuel efficient Camaro package comes courtesy of what look like an early release on the official EPA Web site and GM Inside News. The EPA shows two fuel economy ratings for Camaro’s equipped with the 3.6-liter V-6 and six-speed auto — one rated at the same 18/29 mpg (city/hwy) as the 2010 model and the 2011 model with a higher 19/30 mpg rating. That highway rating falls just short of the Mustang’s 31 mpg, but will allow Chevrolet to add the Camaro to the list of vehicles that achieve over 30 mpg on the highway. According to GMI, the more fuel efficient Camaro will be part of the new 2LS package and will retail for around $24,700. That includes the six-speed automatic transmission (the only available option) and is about $1000 more than a base 1LS Camaro with a six-speed auto.

Changes are minimum this model year. A new exterior colour, Bali Blue Pearl, is now offered. Interior "parchment" taupe will no longer be offered with certain exterior colors. Lastly, there's a slight increase in price ($350) across the trim levels.
CHICAGO — A special-edition 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 model will arrive in showrooms priced at $47,000 this spring, Chevrolet announced at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show on Wednesday. Pricing includes an $850 destination charge.

Honda will resume production of finished automobiles at Sayama Plant at Saitama Factory (Sayama, Saitama) and Suzuka Factory (Suzuka, Mie) on Monday, April 11, 2011. This means all Honda production plants in Japan will be in operation as of that date.
Chevrolet has let slip some of the details on the 2012 Camaro. Highlights for the sports car include a few more horsepower from the V6, a new suspension package for the SS and a 45th anniversary special edition Camaro that will go on sale to celebrate the pony car's entrance into old age.
The direct-injection V6, which sees duty in everything from the Cadillac CTS to the Malibu and a few crossovers, will deliver 323 hp in this application. That's an increase of 11 hp over the previous model, but it will retain the impressive 30 mpg rating on the highway.

Rockford Fosgate has added the T3 and T5 series to the Power subwoofer family in addition to more than 80 other SKUs that are slated for 2011. The new T5 (T5652-S) 6.5-inch 2-way subwoofer is an engine that delivers lower distortion as well as a more accurate audio efficiency, according to Rockford.
